M.SEA VIBE Show, Thanart Rasanon aka Pete will Explore, Exchange and Connect the vibe of Mainland Southeast Asia and the Global innovative music.
Pete TR talks with Pisitakun Kuantalang aka K.D., Born and raised in Thailand, Making visual arts in 2009 and started playing music sometime later with an interest in how expressions shape under different media environments. Historical events, synthetic sounds, and musical instruments inspire his songs.
His recent album “SOSLEEP” (2018), released via Chinabot Created shortly after the death of his father to cancer, Pisitakun has combined traditional mourning instruments with harsh noise and techno beats, wrapping them around intimate recordings of the hospital machinery keeping his father alive during his final days. Pisitakun plans to release his new album at the end of this month.
He also a co-founder of Neighbours Collective, a collective dedicated to bringing international cultural exchange programs and platforms that cultivate friendship between Southeast Asian countries, Asian countries, and the world.
Pisitakun has performed in notable places such as CTM Festival (Berlin, Germany), Asian Meeting Festival (Tokyo, Japan), MEIA (Aveiro, Portugal), Spaziomusica Festival (Cagliari, Italy) and Cafe OTO (London, UK)
